roderick lahey, the founding principal of roderick lahey architect inc. since 1996, played a pivotal role in establishing the firm’s reputation for innovative design and strategic project execution to a select client group, establishing long-standing relationships with a number of the city’s biggest and best developers. with decades of experience leading exemplary architectural services, he built a legacy grounded in creativity, integrity, and client-focused solutions to deliver complex projects on aggressive timelines and within budgets. he is a recognized expert in intensification of the urban core, and is sought after by municipal planners, politicians, peers and private sector clients alike.

 

since transitioning from day-to-day leadership, roderick now serves as a valued consultant and acting principal to the firm’s new leadership team, offering strategic guidance, mentorship, and continuity of vision. he has direct experience in all the aspects that lead to the successful completion of complex projects, and always provides oversight on the wide variety of projects undertaken by the practice, enhancing the firm’s capabilities to respond effectively to meet the expectations of a demanding client group focused on budgets, schedules and quality of product.

 

roderick is heavily involved in the community with the carleton university azrieli school of architecture and urbanism, and an avid supporter of the arts, demonstrated by his outstanding collection of Indigenous art pieces from across canada.
